About Me

My name is Jenny and this is my blog. My life was changed forever on the fateful day of 31st March 2004, the day I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I know that there are so many people who are touched by cancer, I am not rich I cannot find a cure but I can knit... So I decided I would like to try and knit the longest pink scarf in the world. I started the Jenny Chant Appeal to help with education and support for sufferers and their families. Since the inception so many things have happened. One thing that I was not prepared for was being diagnosed with cancer for the 3rd time. In August 2008 I was told that I had lip cancer and that I needed to have life saving surgery in case it spread to the lymph nodes in my neck. I am not a vain person but when I saw the scar it made me weep... I now could not hide from my brushes with death. On to my final words of wisdom: my only advice to men and women is always go for check-ups regularly (and inspect yourself), never lose faith and always try to be positive. Jenny

Friday 25th October. Not feeling to bright.

Hi,

Me again,

Woke up, not feeling to bright, Headachey runny nose etc. I got out of bed did all the usual things we people do. I took some pills and after awhile I felt a little bit better. My friend Jacky and I took the bus to Nuneaton. I went into the wool shop to say hi to Sarah, who owns the shop and is a drop off point for completed scarves for the Jenny Chant Appeal, which was great.

If you would like to join the Appeal, please go to my website, which is! http://www.jennychant.co.uk/. It would be great to hear from you.

Love.

Jenny.xxxx
