About Me

My name is Jenny and this is my blog. My life was changed forever on the fateful day of 31st March 2004, the day I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I know that there are so many people who are touched by cancer, I am not rich I cannot find a cure but I can knit... So I decided I would like to try and knit the longest pink scarf in the world. I started the Jenny Chant Appeal to help with education and support for sufferers and their families. Since the inception so many things have happened. One thing that I was not prepared for was being diagnosed with cancer for the 3rd time. In August 2008 I was told that I had lip cancer and that I needed to have life saving surgery in case it spread to the lymph nodes in my neck. I am not a vain person but when I saw the scar it made me weep... I now could not hide from my brushes with death. On to my final words of wisdom: my only advice to men and women is always go for check-ups regularly (and inspect yourself), never lose faith and always try to be positive. Jenny

26th November 09

Hi all ,

I am back after a two week break. I believe my blog is to personnel, I write to much about myself and what I have been doing. I am new at blogging, so please give me some advice of what you would like me to write about. I thought blogging was to let people know about my life and what I do, It seems I am wrong in my thinking. HELP I need some input of what you would like to read about.

I did start the Jenny Chant Appeal over a year ago, if you would like to join, please go to my website for all the details. The Appeal is to knit the longest PINK scarf in the world. AS I have suffered with various forms of cancer, it is to help raise awearness and raise funds for men and woman in the poorer countries so they can afford to go for tests to detect the desease in its early stages, and hopefully safe their lives.

5th November 2009

HI everyone,

Can you believe it is already november. Anyway we had a great halloween party at Donovans house. We all dressed up which was great. I came as a witch very scary. There were loads to eat and drink, I over did it as usual, and suffered for two days after the party. I swore off drink for the rest of my life. ha ha.

I am going away for about two weeks, I am going to visit Debs in Letchworth, it should be fun. I hope you all had fun at your halloween party like I did. Speak to you all soon.
